Kimpton Seafire Family Portrait Session by Melissa Wolfe
I am so thrilled to share by first Kimpton Seafire Family Portrait Session today. We started the session in the beautifully decorated hotel lobby before heading outside. The grounds at the Kimpton have some fun elements we got to play on. Those white seats are incredibly comfortable.
Next we hit the beach for some further portraits. The little girl was so much fun to work with .. we were best buddies by the last shutter.

Seven Mile Beach Family Session with Melissa Wolfe
Sue and her family regularly visit the Cayman Islands. I had the pleasure to photograph their little family for the second time. This year’s Seven Mile Beach Family Session also included the grandparents. The kids had a blast frolic on the beach during our session.
Mother’s Day portraits by Melissa Wolfe
After my first ‘Mother’s Day‘ post last year, asking every mum out there to come out of hiding (behind the camera) I have to admit that I have still not taken our family portraits. Not sure I have a great excuse being a photographer and knowing a few talented ones in Cayman …
In the last year I have been honoured to photograph some amazing mothers and grandmothers from Cayman and the world around.
A playful Cayman Family Portrait Session with Melissa Wolfe
For my latest Cayman Family Portrait Session I met up with Steve and his family on West Bay Public Beach. It was great to have the grandparents join us for the session.
Steve’s sisters little son was the star of the portrait session full of energy and enjoying the playful time on the beach.
Cayman Islands Family Portraits by Melissa Wolfe
Ellen and her family wanted to created lasting memories during their vacation and asked me to capture their Cayman Islands family portraits for them. We chose the hour just before sunset for their Cayman Islands family portrait session as the light is just beautiful around that time of the day. In photography we call it the ‘Golden Hour’ for it’s golden tonality and soft light.
Finding the right location was easy as the family was staying right on Cayman’s famous Seven Mile Beach at the Westin Grand Cayman. Seven Mile is a fantastic location as it is facing the setting sun.
It was a delight to work with Ellen and her family. The children and I had a blast. Especially the little girl and I bonded dancing and twirling down the beach like no-one is watching.
I wish that they will enjoy their Cayman Island Family Portraits for many years to come.
I love spending time on the beach around sunset … the best time for family photos. It is especially if I am allowed to hang out with a smiley baby like this one.
